The Coalition heads this drive to educate the public about the local drug abuse trends and the ways to prevent addictive behaviors that lead to drug abuse. People can also learn about the techniques, programs, and resources available to prevent substance abuse.
Knowledge about the recovery services available like Naloxone is also tackled here. Naloxone is an opiate antidote that has saved thousands of lives over the past years.
The general public can join this event, including businesses, schools, and nonprofits. If you advocate for fighting drug abuse and are up for a community-wide movement, then you can come too. You’ll learn from the technical advisors from National Council on Alcoholism, Orange County Health Care Agency, and Drug Dependency- Orange County and Mission Viejo Police Services.
